Paints Triumph over Terre Haute 10-5

The Chillicothe Paints (9-5-0) took on the Terre Haute Rex (7-7-0), Wednesday evening, at VA Memorial Stadium. In a game that only took 2 hours 39 minutes, the Paints triumphed over the Rex 10-5.

The Paints came out of the first with a 1-0 lead over Terre Haute. The Paints took in two more runs in the 2nd for a 3-0 lead. Neither team scored in the 3rd or 4th innings. Terre Haute made a comeback in the top of the 5th bringing four runners across home plate to take a 4-3 lead over the Paints. Chillicothe was determined to take home a win and brought a total of 7 runs across home plate, in the bottom of the 6th, to seal a 10-4 lead over Terre Haute. The Rex brought one more run home in the 7th, but failed to cross home again in the 8th or 9th, falling to the Paints 10-5. 

Chillicothe will play the Champion City Kings (7-6-0), Thursday evening, at Davidson Stadium, in Springfield. The Paints will be at home Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In other games, the Butler BlueSox took down the West Virginia Miners 9-5. All other Prospect League games were postponed.
