A request to support the Ross County Park District’s application for Clean Ohio Trails Fund grants, and to take part in the Recreational Trails Program, is under consideration in a Chillicothe City Council committee.
The Parks and Rec Department, along with the Ross County Parks District and the Coppel Athletic Complex Board, are hoping to extend the bike path with the "Coppel Trail Extension Project" which would provide additional opportunities for citizens to walk, run, bike, and explore the community.
Elsewhere, a request to appropriate funds from the city’s safety levy capital fund for the installation of MARCS radio systems and extra equipment is under consideration in a Chillicothe City Council committee. It’s a request for $6,997.73
