Chillicothe Council Ends Year with Few Legislative Items

Monday evening, Chillicothe Council ended their year with only a few legislative items.

Council changed pay provisions for future elected city officials. Mayor Luke Feeney said changing the insurance structure would save the city money, and that arguments against it were just silly.

Council also appropriated $200,000 of grant funds to buy a trolley bus.

Mayor Luke Feeney said farewell to council members David Tatman, Ceil Corcoran, Courtney Lewis, as well as council president Bruce Arnold. In addition, Kathy Flechtner announced she was stepping down as interim council clerk.

The new year's council will pass the $60 million dollar 2022 budget in a special session January 3rd.
