Chamber Hosts First "State of the Community" Gathering

The chamber hosted the first "State of the Community" gathering the morning of April 29th at "The Postmark" on South Paint Street in Chillicothe. Our Kevin Coleman was there and interviewed the presenters.

Mike Throne, president and CEO of the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce, said he was in conversation with Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney on his annual "State of the City" address. Throne said they decided to invite presenters on the city schools, the regional health network, and the county, for a more complete picture.

Throne pointed out the biggest message from the four speakers was that "there is so much on the upswing right now." He said the focus is often on the vibrancy of Chillicothe's downtown, but there is more happening throughout the county.

Find the "State of the Community" presentations as a Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce video on their Facebook page and video on their Youtube page.

Throne said the chamber will probably combine the "Community Outlook Breakfast" and "State of the Community" in March of 2023.
