September 17th through 23rd Is Constitution Week

This is Constitution Week. September 17th through 23rd commemorates the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America, one of our founding documents.

Terressa Reep, with the Daughters of the American Revolution, a patriotic organization whose members can prove that they are descended from someone who fought for or supported the revolution.

She says the DAR urged Congress to In 1954 mandate public schools and universities to teach about the Constitution in some way.

The local Nathaniel Massie Chapter of the DAR had a big event Friday to open the week, at Unioto Middle School...where Benjamin Franklin spoke.
