Chillicothe Council heard about a couple activities involving firefighting. Kevin Coleman asked about them Monday night.
Safety Service chair Julie Preston saw her ordinance passed on second reading to accept a $745 donation from the Chillicothe Elks Lodge towards the "Smoke Alarms for Everyone," or S.A.F.E. Program. This was to make the money available for the Fire Department's program.
She also mentioned the annual "Fish with a Firefighter" event for kids that will be April 15th at Yoctangee Park Lake.
Preston said if you are interested in a smoke detector or the event, or to donate towards either, to contact the Chillicothe Fire Department.
