"Captured" Photography Show at the Pump House in May

The annual photography show at the Pump House Center for the Arts has opened for this month. Kevin Coleman was there on opening night, May 4th.

The third year for the public art gallery's photography show has about 60 images by Ross County photographers...and not all of them professionals.

Catherine Nimon won first place for a print of her photogenic youngest daughter from about 40 years ago. She says she was shocked that she won in her first ever entry into an art show.

Musician Lynn Slimmer won second for his photo of a rain puddle reflecting a forest in "Puddled Reflections." He hung it upside down to create an optical illusion.

Hear their interviews and see photos from opening night below.

An anonymous donor covered all the entry fees.

June will be a busy month, with the "Juneteenth" show plus an elementary school show, and other Juneteenth events.
