Right to Reproductive Freedom Petition

The Ross County Democratic Party is part of a petition drive to put a proposed constitutional amendment up for vote on the November ballot. Kevin Coleman learned about it in the party's event on May 11th.

Titled "The Right to Reproductive Freedom," the amendment in part states "Every individual has a right to make and carry out one's own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on contraception, fertility treatment, continuing one's own pregnancy, miscarriage care, and abortion."

Ann Holmes of the Ross County Democratic Party is in charge of getting signatures for the petition. You must be an Ohio voter and sign in person, but she says she can also come to you.

She says she can be contacted as Ann Jensen Holmes on Facebook, or through the Ross County Democratic Club Facebook page.

Holmes says the party wants to have 1,500 signatures by the July 15th deadline.

The petition from the Ross County Democratic Party is valid only in Ross County, but they or others can provide the the right petition for any county.
