Ross County Grand Jury, December 1st: Drunk Home Invasion with Groping

The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 10 of their cases Friday, December 1st, 2023, with four open for release to the public. From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:

On September 5th, a Ross County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a trailer court at 9529 State Route 772, at the corner of Grubb Road.

The victim told him that 27-year-old Jason H. Mault II was banging on her front door, and then just walked in. He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and made offensive sexual comments.

She was wearing clothes, but he groped her. She told him to leave, but he chased her from room to room, cornering her and touching her more.

She was able to text a neighbor, who brought another neighbor, and they removed Mault from the victim’s trailer.

The deputy found Mault in his own trailer and arrested him. For indictments on second-degree felony burglary, Mault could get up to eight years and $15,000 in fines.
