Ross County Grand Jury, February 2nd: Don’t Cuss Out the Judge

The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 10 of their cases Friday, December 1st, 2023, with four open for release to the public. From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:

On September 6th, 31-year-old Ronald L. Fisher of 699 Linn Street called the public defender’s office and said that he could not attend Chillicothe Municipal Court on that date.

His attorney requested a continuance from Judge Toni Eddy, but she said that if Fisher did not appear, a warrant would be issued.

Fisher then called the public affairs office and called Judge Eddy a litany of profanities, saying she was lying, and said “I will give that bitch a reason to lock me up.”

Eddy has requested that a visiting judge be present each time he is in court. Fisher has more charges pending, including other misdemeanors after this incident.

For indictment on intimidation, Fisher could get up to three years and $10,000 in fines.
