Frog and Sharlene Montgomery have provided a step back into the old west with Dogwood Pass near Beaver, Ohio in eastern Pike County. It'll be the site for the 2nd annual Brad Schneider Memorial Cystic Fibrosis Benefit this Saturday from 11a-4p. Amy Spaulding says her brother lived to 34 battling CF before passing six years ago. The Dogwood Pass founders held the first event in Schneider's honor last year on what would have been his 40th birthday. Dogwood Pass allows visitors to experience a glance back to the 1800s with all the same buildings one would see on a set for a Western movie. There are horseback rides, cowboy shootouts and reenactments. Proceeds from the event will benefit CF patients Megan Helphen and Faith Penrod. Learn more by calling 740-835-1130 or search Dogwood Pass on Facebook. Dogwood Pass is located at 722 Adams Road just outside Beaver.
