Amanda spoiled Chillicothe's home opener 48-47 Thursday night at Hatton Gym.

Down 41-25 to open the fourth quarter, the Cavs rallied for a 47-46 lead with 11 seconds left, but a foul late gave the Aces a trip to the line where Andrew Otto sank two free throws for the win.

Chillicothe had jumped out to a 16-10 lead after the first period, but the Aces outscored the Cavs in the middle quarters 31-9 for the 41-25 lead by the end of the third quarter.

The Cavs battled back with a 22 point effort in the final period, but came up short.

Zach Johnson and Adam Bixler scored 16 points apiece to lead Chillicothe. Tim Beard (8), Tommy Bolte (5) and Nolan Taylor (2) combined for another 15 points.

Amanda's Andrew Otto led all scorers with 23 points and Aron Thress added 20.
