GIRLS TENNIS: Playing in the Central District Sectional tournament for the first time, Chillicothe failed to advance any tennis players to the District tournament.
Coach Janet Disbennett said "Everyone made it through the fisrt round, which is great... The girls all competed well and eventually ran into some really strong players."
Parisa Bennett made it to the third round, but none of the Cavaliers were able to qulify for District play.
The Cavs finished the regular season 6-10 overall and 3-2 in the SEOAL.
VOLLEYBALL: The Lady Cavs strengthened their grasp on second place in the SEOAL Volleyball race Thursday. After dropping the first set 25-15, Chillicothe won the next three sets 25-13, 25-14 and 25-16. The Cavs earned a straight sets victory over McClain Wednesday 25-13, 25-8, 25-19.
GIRLS SOCCER: The Cavs rolled to 11-1 with their 4-0 win at Jackson Thursday night.
BOYS SOCCER: Jackson defeated Chillicothe at McVicker Field 3-0.
Sunday, the Volleyball and Soccer post season tournament drawings will be held. The Volleyball team will travel to Columbus to play in the Division 1 Central District tournament while the Soccer teams will stay in the Southeast District in Division 2.
