The Lady Cavs defeated Marietta 4-2 to win the D2 Girls Soccer Sectional title at Mt. Logan’s McVicker Field Thursday.

Chillicothe’s Lindsey Schobelock got the Cavaliers on the board first and Casey Crow added another goal with just over two minutes remaining in the first half for a 2-0 lead at the intermission.

The Cavs scored twice in the second half off the feet of Bailey Stark and another by Crow to post a 4-0 lead before allowing two Marietta goals in the final 15 minutes.

#1 seeded Chillicothe will head to Jackson High School for a District Semi-Final match this Tuesday with SEOAL foe Warren. The Warriors were 3-1 winners over Washington Court House Tuesday. The Cavs beat the Warren 5-1 and 6-0 in September.

First kick for Tuesday’s match has yet to be announced.

#3 seed Unioto also advanced with a 5-1 win over Logan Elm. The Shermans will face Circleville in the other District Semi-Final at Jackson. Circleville defeated #2 seeded Hillsboro 1-0.
