VOLLEYBALL: Chillicothe is set up for a first place showdown Thursday after picking up a four set victory over Logan Monday night at Hatton Gym. After dropping the first set 25-16, the Cavs took command with a 25-23 second set victory and dominated the third and fourth sets 25-15, 25-13. Chillicothe travels to Warren Thursday night. Last weekend, Chillicothe earned a win over host Dublin Scioto in a quad match. Chillicothe suffered losses to Athens and Marion Pleasant. The Cavs are 8-5 overall and 5-1 in the SEOAL.
TENNIS: Parisa Bennett earned a 6-4, 6-3 1st Singles victory and the Doubles teams of Chantel Lowe-Courtney Berry and Ellen Schmitt-Jessi Pentecost gained straight set wins to give the Lady Cavs a 3-1 match win over Reynoldsburg Tuesday. Liann VanVolkinburg dropped her 2nd Singles match 6-2, 6-2 while Tiffany Noel's match was postponed due to darkness. Noel lost the first set 7-5 and was ahead 3-2 in the second when the match was called. Chillicothe is 5-8 and head into a rematch with Portsmouth Wednesday. The Trojans handed the Cavs their only SEOAL loss earlier this season.
GIRLS SOCCER: Chillicothe has bounced back from their only loss of the season to earn victories over Warren (6-0) and Reynoldsburg (2-0), improving their record to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the SEOAL. Chillicothe's next three games are on the road, beginning Thursday night at Whetstone in Columbus.
BOYS SOCCER: After falling to Warren last Thursday (5-0), the Cavs kicked to a 2-2 draw with Waverly on Saturday and dropped a 4-0 decision at Circleville Tuesday. Chillicothe is 1-6-4 through 11 matches.
