The Lady Cavs successfully defended their SEOAL Track & Field championship at Warren High School Saturday.

Chillicothe finished 35 points ahead of second place Gallia Academy.

Megan Osborne led the way with three first place finishes, winning the 100 Meter Dash (12.47), 200 Meter Dash (25.56) and 400 Meter Dash (58.54). Osborne also anchored the 4x 400 Meter Relay team which placed 2nd.

Other Event winners, the 4x 200 Meter Relay team of Audra Metzler, Kylie Bethel, Corinne Patino and Emilee Kemper (1:50.68), Elaine Wilson in the 300 Meter Hurdles (48.09), Corinne Patino in the Pole Vault (10’3”) and Alyssa Oates in the Shot Put (38’9.5”).

The Cavs finished second in four other events.

While the Boys had no winners, they placed just 8 points out of third behind winner Logan, Warren and Portsmouth.

The Cavs head to the District Tournament next week.

LACROSSE SPLITS WITH CENTERVILLE

The Lady Cavs hosting Centerville in a doubleheader Saturday, closed out the regular season with a 9-6 victory in the opening game and fell 6-4 in the second game. Chillicothe (3-7) plays Lebanon on the road next Saturday in the Club Lacrosse State Tournament.
