The Lady Cavs Lacrosse team dropped a 20-6 decision to Westerville Central at McVicker Field Tuesday.
Chillicothe goals were scored by Sarah Lossie (4), Kaitlyn Cunningham (1 goal and 1 assist) and Anna DeGarmo (1 goal) and one assist each for Whitney Watts and Samantha Watkins.
The Cavaliers (2-7) hosts Westerville North this Saturday May 4 at 1 pm.
SOFTBALL TAKES JACKSON:
Rylie Boullion had a 2-run home run and ri Dawes drove in Maddie Ayres with the winning run in the Cavs last at bat for a 3-2 win over Jackson Tuesday.
The Iron Ladies had broken a scoreless tie in the 5th inning, then Boullion's blast in the 6th inning gave Chillicothe a 2-1 advantage. Dawes' hit scored Ayres for a 3-1 Cavalier lead in the 7th.
Jackson scored a run in their last at bat on a error, but the Cavs recovered to close out the 3-2 win.
Boullion won the pitchers duel with Kari Jenkins, allowing one earned run and srticking out three and walking none. Jenkins walked two and struck out two. Both pitchers allowed just 5 hits each.
Chillicothe (15-5/5-4) climbs to second place in the SEOAL. The win also allows Warren to claim a share of the league title. The Cavs host the Warriors Wednesday afternoon.
The Cavs got a complete game from Austin Elliott in a 6-2 win over #20 Jackson.
Elliott allowed the two runs on 6 hits and struck out 4 Ironmen batters.
Chillicothe trailed 2-1 before erupting for five runs late in the game. Walker Moss had 3 rbi's and Jalen Mischal scored three times as the Cavs put together two runs in the 5th and three more in the 6th.
The Jackson loss gives Gallia Academy a share of the league title. However, the Blue Devils suffered their first league loss of the season, falling 5-4 to Warren.
Chillicothe improves to 7-12 overall and 4-5 in the SEOAL. They'll host Warren Wednesday.
TRACK & FIELD SHINES AT HUNTINGTON:
The Lady Cavs won the Girls meet at the Huntington Invitational Tuesday and the Boys finished third, behind winner Unioto and second place finisher Zane Trace.
Chillicothe set four new Invitational Records: the 4x100 and 4x400 Meter Relay teams, Megan Osborne in the 800 Run and Pole Vaulter Corinne Patino while winning six events. The Cavalier Boys won three events.
Chillicothe runs again Friday and Saturday at Hamilton Township in the Central Ohio All Star Invitational.

The SEOAL Baseball and Softball champions could be crowned this week, and Chillicothe stands in the way.
The Cavs are scheduled to travel to Jackson in both sports Monday (5:00pm).
In the Baseball race, Gallia Academy (7-0) leads the league entering their game at third place Warren (3-3) Tuesday. Chillicothe dropped a 2-0 decision to Gallia on Friday. A Cavs (3-5) win at second place Jackson (5-2) Monday would help the Blue Devils clinch a share of the title heading into their game Tuesday. Chillicothe's final league game is Wednesday at Ron Hansel Field Wednesday.
Warren (6-0) leads the SEOAL Softball race, and can claim a share of the title with a Cavs (4-4) win at third place Jackson (3-3). The Warriors host second place Gallia Academy (4-3) Tuesday afternoon. Chillicothe blasted the Blue Angels Friday 12-4. The Cavaliers wrap up league play Wednesday hosting Warren.
The Chillicothe Boys Tennis team needs to win out with four league matches remaining. The Cavs are second behind undefeated Gallia Academy. The Blue Devils edged Chillicothe 3-2 on April 17th. They face each other again on Monday May 6th in Gallipolis.
The Cavs will perform in their final SEOAL Track and Field Meet at Portsmouth High School on Saturday May 18th.

CAVS BASEBALL WINS 7-4:
Chillicothe caused havoc early and the defense held the lead for a 7-4 victory over Portsmouth Thursday night.
Nolan Taylor pitched a complete game despite walking five Trojans. Taylor allowed only three Portsmouth hits and two earned runs. The Trojans scored their runs in the first and third innings.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers tied the game at 2-2 in their first at bat and then erupted for five runs in the 2nd inning for a 7-2 lead.
The Cavs used small ball to earn the win. Taylor Wallingford had the only extra base hit, a double and two rbi’s on the night. Nolan Taylor and Jalen Mischal had two singles each and Austin Elliott added another. Wallingford scored two runs, while Jack Busch, Ryan Milliken, Matt Dunn, Mischal and Elliott scored one each.
The Cavs (6-11/3-4) travel to Gallia Academy Friday.
SOFTBALL BEATS PORTSMOUTH 10-6:
The Lady Cavs scored early and often in scoring five times in their first at-bat, then going scoreless in only the 5th inning for a 10-6 victory over Portsmouth.
The win avenges a 6-5 loss on April 10th to the Lady Trojans.
Haylee Large had two run producing extra base hits. Large and Chi Smitley were 3-for-4 for the game. Four Cavaliers scored twice each, Large, Bri Dawes, Hayley Woodbridge and Maddie Glendening, while Smitley and Hannah Ray scored once each.
Rylee Boullion and Kayla Keener teamed up to scatter 9 Portsmouth hits. Boullion gets the win.
Chillicothe (13-5/3-4) heads to Gallia Academy Friday.
CHILLICOTHE GIRLS 2nd, BOYS 3rd IN CAVALIER INVITATIONAL:
The Lady Cavs Track team placed 2nd and the Boys 3rd in the Cavalier Invitational Thursday night at Bob and Phil Bobo Track at Herrnstein Field.
Westerville Central won the girls meet, scoring a 150.5 to the Cavs 137.5. Reedsville Eastern placed 3rd then came Marysville, Unioto, Vinton County, Fairland, Jackson, McClain, Chillicothe B, Mifflin and Fairfield.
For the Boys, Unioto was the winner scoring 131 points, then Marysville, Chillicothe, Fairland, Mifflin, McClain, Vinton County, Jackson, Fairfield, Chillicothe B and Reedsville Eastern.

CAVS LAX FALLS AT DAYTON 16-8:
The Chillicothe Lacrosse team dropped a 16-8 decision at Chaminade Julienne Tuesday night.
Kaitlyn Cunningham scored 3 goals, Sarah Lossie and Anna DeGarmo had 2 goals and 2 assists each, Samantha Watkins scored a goal with an assist and Whitney Watts scored a goal.
Abigail Guerra had 14 saves in the goal.
The Cavs return to McVicker Field Tuesday April 30th with Westerville Central.
SOFTBALL BEATS WAVERLY 6-5:
Chillicothe picked up its 12th win on the season with a 6-5 victory over Waverly Tuesday night.
The Cavs had to hold off the Tigers for the win. Waverly scored 4 times in their final at bat.
After Waverly took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning, Chillicothe got its scoring underway in the bottom half of the inning scoring two runs and tacking on two more in the 2nd. Hayley Robinson, Maddi Glendening and Hayley Large had two hits apiece on the night while Glendening, Large, Bri Dawes and Chi Smitley drove in Chillicothe runs.
Kayla Keener and Ryee Boullion teamed up to scatter five hits each.
Chillicothe (12-5) will host Portsmouth Thursday.
RAIN POSTPONES WEDNESDAY SCHEDULE:
The wet grounds forced a postponement of the Cavs Baseball and Softball games with Portsmouth. The game will be played Thursday in Chillicothe with 5:00pm start times.
Logan got the scoring started early, plating three runs in the 1st inning and the Cavs cut the lead to one with a 2-run 2nd inning.
Logan scored six unanswered runs in the 4th and 5th innings to take a 9-2 lead.
In the 6th, the Lady Cavs cut the lead to 9-8, but they're comeback was thwarted when Logan tagged Chillicothe for four more runs in their next at bat.
Rylee Boullion suffered the loss allowing just 8 hits. Only four of the Cheiftains' 13 runs were earned.
Hannah Ray had a 3-4 day at the plate for Chillicothe driving in a run. Also with rbi's Hayley Large, Boullion, Maddie Ayres and Maddie Glendening with 2 rbi's.
The Lady Cavs host the Waverly Tigers Tuesday at 5:00pm.
The Cavs Baseball team got a much needed 10-4 win over Logan. The win for Chillicothe snapped an 8 game losing skid with the win.
The Cavs 5-11/2-4 host Portsmouth Wednesday at 5:00pm.
Chillicothe earned a 5-0 sweep of the Trojans in Portsmouth Monday.
The Rockets fell behind in the second game as Chillicothe built a 5-1 lead in the 3rd inning.
Hannah Ray put herself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers Varsity. She doubled in the second inning and smacked a two-run homer with Chi Smitley aboard in the third. The Cavs scored two moresecond inning runs on an RBI double by Hayley Woodbridge and a fielder's choice.
Kayla Keener recorded the win for Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers Varsity. She allowed four runs over seven innings. She struck out four, walked none and surrendered seven hits.
In the opener, Haylee Large went 2-3, and Chillicothe jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Large started the rally for the Lady Cavaliers with a single, followed by a single by Rylee Bouillion and singled home Large.
The Cavs (11-3) have a make up game with Logan scheduled for Monday afternoon in Hocking County.

The Cavs were held to 3 hits in the 11-1 loss. Matt Dunn suffered the loss allowing 8 runs on seven hits.

Taylor Wallingford and Nolan Taylor both scored for Chillicothe had had two hits apiece, but the Braves scored 10 times in the second and five more runs in the 3rd.
Sean Lucas absorbed the loss for Chillicothe.
The Cavs head to Logan Monday for a make up game with the Chieftains at 5:00pm.
Cavs LAX Has 1-3 Weekend
The Chillicothe Lacrosse team split a double-header Friday night with the Centerville Lady Elks.
The Lady Cavs won the first game 7 to 6 but dropped the second game 12-6.
Kaitlyn Cunningham was the big scorer on the day with seven, four of which came in the first game. Also scoring on the day Samantha Watkins, Anna DeGarmo, Sarah Lossie and Whitney Watts. Abby Guerra had 13 saves in the goal for the two games.
Chillicothe lost it's Saturday game at Delaware Hayes 23-9. Scoring goals for the Lady Cavs were Cunningham (5 goals and 1 assist), Lossie (2 goals and 1 assist), Watkins (1 goal and 1 assist), Watts (1 goal). Sierra Cydrus, Maris Corzine and Amanda Mares each had 1 assist and Abigail Guerra made 7 saves in goal.
The Cavs are back on the field Tuesday at Dayton Chaminade-Julienne.
The Cavalier Girls placed 2nd and the Boys 3rd at the Ashville Kiwanis Invitational hosted by Teays Valley High School Friday.
Westerville South won both meets.
Teams behind the Girls were Grandview Heights, Teays Valley, Logan Elm, Westfall, Amanda Clearcreek and Big Walnut.
The Boys followed 2nd place Big Walnut, then came Teays Valley, Westfall, Grandview Heights, Amanda Clearcreek and Logan Elm.
The Cavs will host the Cavalier Invitational Friday at the Bob & Phil Bobo Track at Herrsntein Field. They'll also resume their dual meet with Unioto Friday.

Only Ryan Milliken and Walker Moss were able to drive home runs for the
Cavaliers against the Ironton Tigers in a 7-2 non-conference loss.
Steven Easterling checked the Cavs on four hits (Moss with two, Jack Busch and Nolan Taylor the others) while mowing down 15 Chillicothe batters. Easterling also scored three of the Tigers' runs.
Ironton did their damage in their final two at bats, scoring 5 runs to extend a 2-1
