The Chillicothe Wrestling team was placed 4th place in the Jackson Invitational Saturday, despite having three open weight classes and four first time varsity participants.

The Cavs managed two champions, Nick Lawhorn (106) and Christian Collins (160), three 3rd place finishers, Caleb Price (132), Tom Dunn (195) and Austin Mathis (220) and a 5th place finisher in Darris Harris (120) earning her first Varsity win.

Gallia Academy won the event overall, followed by Belpre, Vinton County, Chillicothe, Unioto, Southeastern, Wellston, Jackson, Logan, Adena and Alexander.

106: Pounds: Nick Lawhorn (4-0), 1st place. “Lawhorn won his Championship 
match by major decision over Gavin Stalnaker of Belpre, 12-4.”
120: Pounds: Darris Harris, 5th place “Gaining her first varsity win.”

semi-final match, where he was up 11-1, to lose by fall with a pin over Alex
Wright (Logan) in 3:46 to gain 3

the championship match winning by tech fall 16 to 1 over Matthew Colvin
