The Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers added another victory to their win column in beating East Clinton 44-26, Wednesday. It was senior night, where Kayla Keener was recognized for her involvement in Lady Cavs basketball.
Chillicothe started the game with a 5-0 run and never trailed, forcing 35 East Clinton turnovers; however, the favor was returned as Chillicothe committed 34 turnovers.
Despite this, Coach Shawn Blue was happy with the win and said his team played hard, attributing high emotions and a long break since the last game in the Lady Cavs' miscues.
From the field, Chillicothe was 16/53 for 30% and 9/17 from the charity stripe.
The (5-12) East Clinton Astros shot 9/37 for 37% from the field and 8/15 from the foul line.
Chillicothe's Bri Dawes led all scorers with 18 points.
The Lady Cavs improve to (6-13) and will travel to Gallia Academy on Saturday.
