One ordinance took 106 acres recently annexed beside the current Circleville High School and rezoned them as a "special use district." Construction of a new high school and elementary school will begin this summer, says council member Dorcas Morrow.
The ordinance also tweaked parking allotments, reducing sizes from 10 x 20 to 9 x 19 feet, and created more contingency parking for events.
And, things are already starting to happen there with site preparations.

A council member who shares duties between the city and hospital gave good news to council. Sister Monica Justinger reported to council on the meeting of the Board of Governors of Berger Health System.
The public hospital is responsible to both the city and county, and she says the board reports the health system is financially sound.
Two big projects will be tackled this summer: replacing first floor roofing, and remodeling the emergency room, with a focus on patient access.
Another benefit to the public are plans to expand parking soon.
