(AP) - Authorities say an Ohio man convicted of sex crimes against children has committed suicide at the state prison reception center. William Rose died at the Orient Reception Center in Pickaway County Tuesday, but there were no details provided about how it happened.

The 44-year-old Rose was on his way to prison to serve a 27-year sentence for sex crimes against three children. He was sentenced Friday in Shelby County, north of Dayton.

He was initially arrested May 29 and accused of videotaping a sexual encounter with a 12-year-old girl.
