Daughters of Ruth are looking to raise awareness of the services they offer to area women and children.

Dan DeGarmo, DOR Treasurer, says the group has taken in at least 39 women and 34 children in the past year.

They already have pledges for $1,200 per month and need a total of $5,000 to hire a full-time director and an overnight employee to stay at the shelter.
