A suspect in the robbery of a Waverly pizza delivery driver has been arrested in that village.
27-year-old James Trent Jr. of Wakefield Mound Road is accused of holding a knife to the throat of the pizza driver Sunday night, when that employee made a delivery to what turned-out to be a vacant residence on Dean Street.
The subject got away with the money bag and a cell phone. Trent was arrested after an investigation turned up evidence against him, and later tips came to police that Trent was a suspect in another robbery involving a driver a week before. This second incident happened outside of Waverly, within Pike County.
Trent has been charged with aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.
