A Chillicothe man is dead after being struck by a vehicle, Tuesday. The Highway Patrol reports a pedestrian, 84-year-old Donald Hatfield, was hit along State Route 772 near Patton Hill Road, in Scioto Township, at around 6:20pm.

The driver was 22-year-old Krystal Grant, of Chillicothe.

Hatfield was pronounced dead at the scene, while Grant was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
