A bus driver was in the right place at the right time, Monday. Chillicothe City Transit Director Mike Scholl said Melvin Park was on his regular route on Second Street when he noticed that a woman in a wheelchair was stopped on nearby railroad tracks.
"He alertly stopped the bus and proceeded to ask if the individual in the wheelchair needed any assistance," said Scholl, "and he was able to get her unstuck, pull her off of the tracks, and my understanding at this point is literally seconds after that was accomplished, the train came around the corner."
Officials said there were no injuries.
