The Chillicothe-Ross Chamber of Commerce helped introduce "The Leader in Me" initiative to city schools....and they take pride in knowing that the first school to adopt the program was the highest scoring school in Ross County for the 2011-2012 year.
The second school to adopt it came in number two.
Led by Principal Jason Fife, Allen Elementary’s staff recorded a performance index score of 102.8 in the rankings recently released by the Ohio Department of Education.
It was the only score above 100 for any of the 25 buildings in the county. The school was rated "excellent" for the third consecutive year.
Worthington Elementary, under Principal Lawrence Butler last year and now Matt Thornsberry, had the second highest ranking in the index at 98.5...and was rated "effective."
