Chillicothe Superintendent Jon Saxton says many children in the district have been out sick with influenza, so students who are able to attend class are being encouraged to wash their hands regularly.

He also recommends parents keep their children home if they are not feeling well so that they can rest. Saxton says they try to keep classes open, as long as they have enough staff to do so.
