The Ross County Sheriff's Department and volunteers from at least two Ross County Township Fire Departments were called to the scene of a house fire on Discovery Drive in Pleasant Valley Wednesday morning.

The fire was reported at a home at 92 Discovery Drive. 

One man inside the home suffered a minor injury and was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center. Some family pets were believed to have perished in the fire. 

Minor damage was also done to a nearby home.
