A car started a two-alarm fire on Dry Run Road Saturday afternoon.
Hobart Woods told the Ross County Sheriff's office that he had parked his Pontiac Grand Prix in his garage at 5045 Dry Run Road.
He said he smelled smoke a few minutes later and found a fire in the engine compartment, but was unable to put it out before it spread to the garage about 12:30pm.
While the reporting deputy was on the scene, flaming debris landed on a car in the driveway, causing minor damage there.
Three units of the Green and Springfield township fire departments extinguished the fire by about 1:30pm.
