Union Scioto School Superintendent Dwight Garrett will retire at the end of this school year. The educator of 38 years, says he will serve in the post until June 30th, where he has been superintendent since 1999.
Garrett first came to Unioto in 1978 as a teacher and football coach, where he had an SVC champion powerhouse in the early 80's.
After he left Unioto for Texas, then later returned to Ohio for a teaching job at Vinton County Schools. He became an administrator at Hamilton Township Schools, then returned to Unioto as high school principal in 1995, before becoming their superintendent in 1999.
