Two people were arrested in a Pike County meth lab raid Sunday at 4491 Long Fork Road.

Deputies responded to a call at that address, where they detected a strong odor in the air. 45-year-old Paul G. Francis and 24-year-old Christopher Irvin were arrested when both men attempted to flee the rear of the residence.

Francis was charged with Illegal Manufacturing of Methamphetamin, Possession of Drug Abuse Equipment and Illegal Assembly. Irvin was charged with several outstanding warrants and is pending additional charged related to the meth lab.

Pike County Hazmat, Elm Grove Fire Department and Pike Squads 1 & 8 assisted in the chemical clean-up.
