Friday's session of the Ross County Grand Jury saw 21 true bills returned as indictments; however, only 5 were open.

In one case, Shawn C. Richmond, Sr., 38, of Frankfort, was indicted on a third-degree felony of domestic violence. According to the Prosecutor's Office, Richmond is alleged to have struck his wife after she intervened when he was "being mean" to their children, last November. He is also accused of punching his 12-year-old child in the mouth.

Richmond has 5 prior domestic violence convictions spanning from 1966 to 2009.

Other indictments include:

*36-year-old Jeremy R. Arledge, of Chillicothe, for third-degree felonies of driving while under the influence and failure to comply. The indictment alleges Arledge was pulled over at 2:10am on January 12 for driving without headlights.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Arledge had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol, and he fled after police tried to arrested him. Arledge allegedly ran two stop signs, fled his vehicle on McKellar Street, and was caught before reaching East Seventh Street.

Arledge has a prior felony OVI conviction out of Fayette County in 2012.

*30-year-old Jason L. Crampton, of Kingston, for a fifth-degree felony of breaking and entering. Crampton is accused of stealing saws from a barn at 4am on December 30th. Police say they recovered the saws in an alley near the barn and found Crampton hiding in a T.V. stand at his home and his boots in the washer.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Crampton's boots and vehicle tire marks were similar to the tracks found in the snow near the barn.

*24-year-old Cody F. Ginter, of Chillicothe, for receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and 21-year-old Noah C. Brenke, of Chillicothe, for receiving stolen property.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Ginter and Brenke were seen running from Huntington Bank on Western Avenue and into a vehicle that was parked into a nearby lot at 3:37am on January 9. Authorities say they found $380 in cash in the console, $20 on the passenger floorboard, and an ATM receipt for a $400 withdraw to a card belonging to Ginter's relative in the vehicle that also belonged to the same victim.
