Authorities say a man, who's believed to have fled during an attempted stop, left his ID in the vehicle he left behind.
According to the Ross County Sheriff's Office, a tip was called in at 6:55pm, Tuesday, that a man was possibly driving a stolen vehicle along Baum Hill Road. A deputy in the area spotted the vehicle and tried to pull it over, but the pursuit was ended for safety reasons.
A short time later, the deputy then found the vehicle, unoccupied, off the side of Baum Hill Road.
Authorities say they were unable to find the driver, but a search of the vehicle yielded the suspected driver's wallet and identification card, a bag of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.
In the incident, damage was caused by the vehicle to a garage and yard in the 300-block of Baum Hill Road.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and several charges are pending.
