Circleville Service Director John Ankrom says, with more receptive property owners, the administration feels it's worth trying to revive the connector between the soon-to-be vacated Court Street Intermediate School at 1250 South Court Street - and the US 23 intersection at Taco Bell.
Ankrom said about $1.44 million of grants was spent on initial planning starting about 2003, before the project was shelved in 2008.
He says it'll cost $2.4 million to build. The city tentatively has a grant to pay about half, and now must find the rest...with some, hopefully from a school system wanting to enhance the real estate sale value of the school.
Ankrom spoke in a committee meeting before the council session - in which about half of council was on vacation, so little action was taken.
