Travis Robertson says it was time to step-away from coaching. Robertson steps away from the Waverly boys basketball coaching position he has held for the last five years, where his record was (62-46) and included a regional runner-up this past season.

Robertson told Clear Channel Sports Tuesday night that his children are age 6 & 8 and they are active in a number of other activities that he wants to see them participate in while they are young.

Robertson helped turn the Tigers program in the winning direction after a (6-15) first season. He then went to (13-8), (10-11), (15-6) and (18-6).

It is anticipated the Waverly Board of Education will accept his resignation at their next meeting.
