Lucasville Valley advanced to the D-3 Regionals with a 4-1 win over Zane Trace, Saturday. The Lady Pioneers would score their only run in the first inning. ZT pitcher Morgan Geno led off with a single. A courtesy runner would move on a sacrifice bunt by Morgan Fry and would eventually score on a single by Joann Saultz.

Valley's offense responded with a 2-out rally as Brooke Cooper singled and then scored on an RBI single by Kayla Koch. They took the lead in the second inning when they tacked on another run; insurance runs were added in the 3rd and 6th for the final 4-1 score.

Valley pitcher Braiden Dillow gave up 9 hits, struck out 10, and walked none. Her defense posted one error, while ZT has two.

Geno allowed 6 hits, struck out 8, and walked none. She also led all batters, hitting 4-4.

Valley remains unbeaten on the season as they advance to the Lancaster Regionals on Thursday. ZT concludes their season at (22-4).
