New Hope Christian Academy has called in a big name for a fundraiser to benefit construction of a new STEM high school at the facility of the Circleville Church of the Nazarene.
Bobby Bowden, former Florida State football coach, has agreed to speak at the school’s Night of Excellence fundraiser set for November 10th. Details of the event are still being worked out and more information will be forthcoming as the event takes shape.
Administrators at the school, which currently includes students from age 18 months through eighth grade, made the announcement in May of plans to construct a new 38,000 square-foot addition to accommodate high school classes and will add one grade level per year for the next four years, beginning with ninth grade in 2013.
The cost of construction has a goal of $5 million. The new addition is expected to include 12 classrooms, a gymnasium, a choir room, a band room, and a concession area.
