The (22-3) Adena Lady Warriors fell Wednesday night to a powerful (24-3) Fort Frye team 66-47 in the Division 3 Regional Semi-Finals at Logan High School.

Adena built an early 10-5 lead, but by the time they reached the end of the first quarter, the game was tied 12-12. Fort Frye shot 60% from the field in the second stanza to grab a halftime lead of 31-23.

The two-shade-blue opened up the third quarter on a 9-2 run pulling to within one at 33-32, then grabbed a 36-35 advantage midway through the period, only trailing 40-38 to start the fourth quarter.

With just under six minutes left to play, Adena trailed 44-43, before Fort Frye went on a 15-0 run to end the Lady Warriors season.

For Adena, Jenny Grigsby led the way with 18 points, 14 of which came in the first half. She also had 6 rebounds. Natalie Cooper added 12 points for the Lady Warriors.

Fort Frye had four players in double figures. Brooke Borich and Morgan Liedtke each had 14. Deidra Combs added 13 points and 9 rebounds and Shawntell Parsons chipped in 11 points.



For the game Adena was 18/46 for 39% from the field. That included 3/12 from the arc. Fort Frye was 23/43 for 53%- including 6/16 from the arc.

Fort Frye plays in the Regional Final Saturday afternoon.
