A large amount of drugs were found in the car- that resulted in the arrests.
Three people from the Dayton area have been arrested on drug related charges following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 in Pike County Tuesday evening.
The driver, 28-year-old Latanya R. Brown of Trotwood was requested to exit the vehicle, upon exiting she was observed placing a bag of white substance down the front of her pants. Brown was secured and voluntarily removed 30 grams of crack cocaine and 10 grams of heroin from her person.
Piketon Police Department responded to assist, and a probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 2 digital scales, a razor blade and 4 grams of marijuana. Passenger, 33-year-old Demetrus L. Dunson of Trotwood was cited and released for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Another passenger, 36-year-old Jerrod J.A. Staton of Dayton was cited and released for Possession of Marijuana. Ms. Brown was arrested and incarcerated for Possession and Trafficking of Drugs while in the presence of a juvenile, due to an 8 year old and a 5 year old being in the vehicle.
