The replacement for outgoing county chair Dottie Fay has been selected in a Thursday meeting
By unanimous vote, Stacy Brooks has been selected as the new chairperson of the Ross County Democrat Party Central Committee.
Brooks, who is an attorney for Southeast Ohio Legal Services, was elected to the party leadership post Thursday evening by the central committee.
Brooks replaces Dottie Fay, who announced her retirement earlier in the week. Fay became the first woman to hold that local post in her party, when she was elected in 2008.
