A motorist crashed into the back of a semi, Tuesday morning.
The Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash that occurred at 7:10am, Tuesday. 38-year-old David Johnson, of South Carolina, was driving a Freightliner semi westbound on US 35, while 18-year-old Christopher Derringer, of Chillicothe, was driving a truck westbound on US 35. Johnson was stopped for a stopped school bus and had just started to proceed forward when he was struck from behind by Derringer.
Derringer was taken to Adena Medical Center by EMS. He was later transported to Grant Medical Center by ambulance and is listed in stable condition.
Johnson and a passenger, 44-year-old John Kiser, of North Carolina, were not injured.
The semi was owned by Schneider National Carriers of Wisconsin.
