The victim said one man cut him with a knife after he refused to hand over his phone.

Chillicothe police responded to a robbery complaint at 2am, Wednesday. The 41-year-old victim said he was walking eastbound on Eastern Avenue, near Bridge Street, when two men approached him and asked how much money he had. The victim responded that he only had cigarettes and a cell phone with him; he said one of the men swung a knife across his stomach when he refused to give him the phone.

The men, who then fled, were described as black, possibly in their 20s, and wearing dark clothing.

The victim was taken to Adena Medical Center for cuts to his stomach and left forearm.
