The annual Fishin with Ronald McDonald saw a nice turn-out at Yoctangee Park Lake Wednesday.
Over 400 people attended this years 12th annual fishing and fun with Ronald McDonald in the park event in Chillicothe Wednesday. A five dollar donation allowed kids to play games, jump in bouncy houses and get their faces painted.
Petland of Chillicothe brought a few animals and a local 4H Group set up a pet obstacle course. Triple Crown Family Fun Center donated the use of the Bouncy Houses and pizza for the event.
The Ross County Sheriffs Department was on hand to do "Kids Print" and Sheriff George "Hot dog Man" Lavender was manning the grill.
At the end of the evening, Ron and Melody Fewster and Megan Brumfield donated $10,000 to the Ronald McDonald House this year from the local McDonald's.
The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families of seriously ill children being treated in central Ohio hospitals. The Livingston Ave. Columbus Home is the second largest home in the world and serves over 2,500 families each year.
