Local health officials urge those cooking out and on picnics to practice food safety to avoid getting sick
Just as when you are cooking meals inside the house, don't forget to practice good food safety practices for outdoor cook-outs and picnics.
Ross County Health Department Sanitarian David Ramby says, depending on what types of food you are eating, keep warm food warm and cold food cold.
Ramby says many of the gastro intestinal illnesses we have, could be associated with spoiled food.
