The Monday night assault was captured on a cellphone recording device.

A video helped authorities target a man's assailant, Monday night. Chillicothe Police were called to the North Bridge Street Speedway at around 10pm in reference to an assault in which the victim was knocked unconscious. A witness captured the incident on a cellphone and showed it to police.

In the video, officers observed 21-year-old Bradley R. Parisien, of Chillicothe, standing by a vehicle, yelling at 29-year-old Nathan L. Cook, punching Cook with a closed fist, and then hitting him to the ground.

Cook was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center but did not suffer serious injuries.

Authorities contacted Parisien who turned himself into the Ross County Jail and was booked for assault.

Parisien said Cook came to the driver's side of his vehicle, began talking to his girlfriend, and reached inside his vehicle. Parisien advised he got out of the vehicle and saw Cook reaching in his pockets, so he punched him. Parisien said he fled because he was afraid.
