Chillicothe Police have set special traffic routes for Wednesday night.
The Chillicothe Police Department has established traffic patterns for motorists leaving the fireworks display in Yoctagee Park on Wednesday.
First, there will be no left turns permitted on Yoctangee Parkway nor High Street.
Captain Keith Washburn said that the intersection of High and Orange will be controlled with traffic cones, and there will be no left turn on Orange.
State Route 104 and US 35 will be controlled by a trooper, and depending on southbound traffic, a left turn to westbound US 35 might not be permitted.
If the trooper does not allow the turn, those wanting to access the western part of the county from State Route 104 can take Moundsville Road at the traffic light in front of CCI to Pleasant Valley to Veteran's Parkway to U.S. 50.
This fireworks route in past years has shaved an estimated 25 minutes off the evacuation time.
Captain Washburn said these patterns go into effect as soon as the fireworks start.
