The debate about trash collection continued in Circleville Council.
Council gave a second reading to the ordinance to have only one trash hauler in the city.
In the Finance Committee meeting before the council session...Todd Brady said he was concerned that if the ordinance is passed, going from seven private haulers to one may cause problems with revenue.
City Auditor Gayle Spangler said she could look into the potential results to income tax revenue and other factors - but it's not as easy as it looks.
Council member Mike Logan pointed out that the trash service survey forms sent out in water bills have been surprising. With the 300 or so in so far, he did not expect a 50/50 split on whether to change things.
Logan said council will take SOME action on the ordinance next session...but is not sure what that will be.
