Police were called at 7:35am to the discovery of the body.
Chillicothe Police Chief Roger Moore does not suspect foul play in the death of an elderly man found on West Fourth Street, Monday morning.
The chief said a couple of people who were delivering advertisements found the man lying on the sidewalk at around 7:35am.
A squad was called to the scene on a report of cardiac arrest.
The chief said the man appeared to have been dead for several hours, and an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
The man's name has not been released pending notification of his family.
