Authorities are investigating the grand theft case.

Railroad box cars along Eastern Avenue were targeted by a thief for a second time. Authorities from the Ross County Sheriff's Office were called to CSX where a representative said over $48,100 worth of goods were stolen from the box cars sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

Items included 4 cases of drill bits, 30 cases of orange spray paint, 31 cases of motor oil, 8 cases of antifreeze, 19 dozen jersey gloves, 15 cases of coveralls, a rain suite, and a gas impact gun.

The CSX representative said this was the second time someone has stolen from the property and has asked authorities to increase patrol of the property.

The investigation is ongoing.
