The South Central Ohio agency has been in place since 1959.
Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio is most known for its clothing stores, but Executive Director Keith Alcorn said they serve another mission of improving the quality of life by offering employment.
"Many of the folks that we employ are individuals that have disabilities or disadvantages and those folks come to us through partnerships with the county boards of developmental disabilities."
Goodwill currently employs 109 people with at least 22 hours of paid work in areas like paper recycling and packaging.
Work centers are established in Chillicothe, Circleville, Washington CH, Athens, Jackson, and Logan.
Alcorn said Goodwill the work centers need the continued support of the community: "They rely on those donations, so keep those donations coming."
Donations can come in the form of textiles and/or clothing, which are then sold at the Goodwill stores.
